The Asian-American Issue

The new issue of MiPOesias is out. It's
fantastic. First I want to mention the
design. The cover is outstanding and the
colors are vibrant and full of life. I
think it compliments the issue perfectly
because the same can be said about the
poetry. Vibrant and full of life.
I hesitate to mention favorites because
the entire issue front to back ROCKED.
But some highlights for me were:
Neil Aitken - All The Names Of Children And
Homes We May Never Know
Michelle Bautista - 15 Days Of Seeking A Filipina
Victoria Chang - Anonymous self portrait on "the lot"
Lee Herrick - Truths
Joseph O. Legaspi - Little Blackbird
Fu-Chung Wong - You Will Never Understand
Ed Bok Lee - String Theory
I have been googling Ed Bok Lee for days trying to find
more of his work online.
Take the time to read this issue, you won't be
disappointed.

Hi Michelle - so nice to "see" you around again! I've seen the cover - and loved it too - but haven't had time to read any poetry lately. I'll spend some time with it when I'm done with "Mid-Year Assessments" - UGH!
Hi, Michelle -- I've dropped by from time to time, glad you haven't disappeared.
And yeah, great issue of MiPo -- I've just taken a quick look so far, I'll go back and spend more time.
Hey JB!! I still haven't caught up on my blogger blog reads. I've been joining in over at the new cafe cafe on facebook but I've been busy here too. SO much great stuff to read, so little time. Nice to see familar faces. Hope you and family are well.
Lyle, great to see you again. I need to catch up on your blog as well. Seems I've been in a never ending battle with free time. I miss blogging here. I have to start making the time. Thanks for stopping by. I would have thought I was long forgotten by now!
Very much enjoyed my walk through your world...as a poet and an avid reader, I found it both enriching and enlightening. Thank you...
Michelle, it's great to see you again! I've missed you.
Thank you for the mention. And I agree with you that this issue is really, really good. It's the best collection of such poets I have seen in a long time, online or print. Didi and Nick should be proud. I wonder if they would consider doing a chapbook of it...
I just saw Mike Maniquiz this morning (we teach at the same college; he has poems in the issue) and I was telling him how I hope a lot of people see it. There are so many good poems in it, I really think it needs a bigger audience.
Cheers, Michelle!
